What happens after you deposit
Data curation is the process C-DAMAA employs to add value to data, maximise access and enhance the long-term usage and preservation of the data. A CDAMAA data curator receives the submission, examines the data and supporting materials, creates a study description for the study homepage, and assesses disclosure risks before publication.
What to submit
- The actual data files (CSV, SAS, Stata or SPSS formats).
- Accompanying documentation — codebooks, user manuals, README files and data-gathering tools.
- A study description with metadata.
What type of data can be shared
All data generated within Ghana and Africa, including multi-country studies that involve African nations.
What it includes
- Data Management Plan assistance and quality checks.
- Anonymization and disclosure-risk review.
- Metadata creation and publication.
- Long-term access under clear licences, with usage statistics.
