What happens after you deposit

Data curation is the process C-DAMAA employs to add value to data, maximise access and enhance the long-term usage and preservation of the data. A CDAMAA data curator receives the submission, examines the data and supporting materials, creates a study description for the study homepage, and assesses disclosure risks before publication.

What to submit

  • The actual data files (CSV, SAS, Stata or SPSS formats).
  • Accompanying documentation — codebooks, user manuals, README files and data-gathering tools.
  • A study description with metadata.

What type of data can be shared

All data generated within Ghana and Africa, including multi-country studies that involve African nations.

What it includes

  • Data Management Plan assistance and quality checks.
  • Anonymization and disclosure-risk review.
  • Metadata creation and publication.
  • Long-term access under clear licences, with usage statistics.
