About Us

Overview

The Centre for Data Archiving, Analysis and Advocacy (C-DAMAA) provides access to both microeconomic and macroeconomic datasets from Ghana and other African Countries. The Centre assists researchers and academics to use datasets available on the Centre’s website through our online helpdesk. We also provide training courses in Data Management and Analysis. C-DAMAA also offers microdata collection, curation and processing services for researchers and organisations in need of high-quality data. The Centre conducts regular research on the quality and usability of microdata in Ghana.

C-DAMAA’s training activities include an Annual Research Clinic, a comprehensive curriculum of intensive courses in, Research Data Management, Cross-Sectional, Time Series Analysis, Data Science data management, and Social Methodology. C-DAMAA also undertake initiatives that are geared towards encouraging the use of data in teaching, especially at the undergraduate level.

Our Mission Statement

To increase access to individual, household, and firm-level data as well as macroeconomic data to promote a culture of interrogating complex relationships among issues using acquired analytical skills. C-DAMAA strives to achieve this by engaging industry, government, and development partners on research outcomes through the active and regular release of policy briefs and dialogues with all stakeholders.
